THE MURDER VICTIM
|The Murder Victim
is not pleasant to look see. It is the first
of a series of Clayton Bailey's works that
address the topic of crime and punishment. It
depicts a gristly scene all too common in
An auburn-haired, pony-tailed adolescent girl lays mudered and mutilated on the floor. Decapitated, stabbed, chopped, hacked raped and bitten by her assailant.
Bailey says: "This is a garden sculpture to remind me of life in the city."
THE CRITICS SAY: "God has turned his face away from Clayton Bailey."
