SALT-FIRED FACE JUGS BY CLAYTON G. BAILEY
These stoneware ceramic face jugs were fired in a 10 cubic foot gas
fired salt kiln.
This small size kiln produces salt firings with extremely variable glaze
effects.
Sodium carbonate is used instead of sodium chloride to eliminate the
undesirable fumes associated with traditional salt firing.
