In the early 70's Al Shepp, a sculptor and a colleague of Clayton's at California State University - Hayward, invited us over to his studio in Berkeley to have dinner and play some poker. That was the start of a ritual that continues today. Al and his wife Diane, Kenji and Gail Nanao, Mel and Leta Ramos and the Bailey's, meet for dinner and poker at each other's homes every three months. Our games get very creative.
