BETTY BAILEY'S DRAWINGS: My very first drawings were of my granddaughter, Sydney. I worked from a photograph of her when she was 3 years old and I filled a pad of 2" x 2" 'Post-its' with pencil drawings. Then I wanted to try something bigger so used 8 1/2 " x 11" bond paper and made drawings of our other granddaughter, Bailey, and other family members and friends. One weekend at the flea market I found a box of watercolor pencils. I had never heard of them before, but they sparked an interest to start using color. It was fun to experiment and to see what I could do. I have not attended any drawing classes and most of my drawings are from memory. |
